| I saw a post on the flexcoders list Saturday morning entitled, 'Code not executing in a Popup Window' that caught my eye. It seems the 'poster' was having trouble getting a remote object call to work inside his PopUp Window. Having made remote object calls in many of my PopUps, I just had to take a peak at their code. I grabbed a copy of the posted code and recreated the basic example that follows. * Source code is included:

I noted two approaches that I do differently than the flexcoder's example:
1. I'm not using creationComplete to call the RO, though I know this is not the issue.
2. I actually use the dataProvider attribute in my <mx:List> tag instead of up in the ActionScript. I var an array, reviews_List, set the array equal to the RO result in the RO's result handler, and then databind this array to the List tag. |
